During a 25+ year law enforcement career, I  have worked multiple assignments including Field Training Officer, Search and Rescue (Land Search Manager & Rope Rescue Tech), Mobile Response Team and Firearms Instructor.  I have taught pistol, rifle and shotgun to law enforcement officers from a variety of Sheriff's Offices, Police Departments, State Police as well as members of the FBI and DEA. I have been the lead instructor for our local SWAT Team rifle school and have taught multiple Instructor Schools. I have invested thousands of hours learning the craft and teaching students.

 

I currently hold the rank of Sergeant.  As a Sergeant I have supervised all Patrol Field Training of new recruits and currently supervise Patrol Operations. I participated with the curriculum review panel for the state police academy and also helped develop the train-the-trainer manual for teaching Field Trainers across the state. I certified as an Expert Witness for firearms and have testified in Circuit Court for a murder trial.

I am a Glock Certified and Colt Certified Armorer as well as locally and nationally certified instructor.  I travel to other shooting schools training with IPSC Master and Grandmaster level shooters, including multiple instructor level schools, to ensure the Wandering Warrior continues to bring the most up to date training available. I have also had the honor of training with a former member of Team 6.

I truly enjoy teaching civilians and have spent the last several years developing my curriculum to be tailored to them as well.  I take pride in teaching new shooters in a relaxed environment that allows them to learn at a faster rate.
